Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge Guide (2026)

If you’re looking for a complete guide to the Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge, you’ve come to the right place. This post compares the two main options — the Asiana Business Lounge and the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge — to help you decide which one suits you best.

Looking for the Korean version? Check out the full review here.

In a previous post, I covered which lounge Asiana Airlines passengers can use following the airline’s relocation to Terminal 2 at Incheon International Airport. That naturally raised another question: what happened to the Asiana lounge that was left behind at Terminal 1? Today, I’m here to answer exactly that.

Asiana Airlines is a member of Star Alliance, the world’s largest airline alliance, and all Star Alliance member airlines operate out of Terminal 1 at Incheon International Airport.

When Asiana was still based at Terminal 1, all Star Alliance passengers shared the Asiana Business Lounge, a natural arrangement at the time. Now that Asiana has moved to Terminal 2, the lounge retains the Asiana name in name only. It now effectively operates as an Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge, managed by Asiana Airlines.

With the upcoming merger between Korean Air and Asiana Airlines, there are currently four Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge options operating at Terminal 1: the Asiana Business Lounge East, West, and Central, along with the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge. Additionally, the former Asiana First Class facility, the Business Suite Lounge, is accessible to Star Alliance passengers, though entry is restricted to First Class ticketholders only.

Terminal 2 serves as the main hub for SkyTeam, the alliance Korean Air belongs to, and is home to the Korean Air Prestige Lounge. Following Asiana’s move to Terminal 2, Star Alliance Gold members traveling on Asiana-operated flights are also eligible to use the Korean Air Prestige Lounge. For more details on that, please refer to my previous post.

Let’s take a closer look at both Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge options available to travelers.

Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge: Asiana Business Lounge

The Asiana Business Lounge operates across three locations: East (Gate 11), Central (Gate 26), and West (Gate 42). It’s worth choosing the one closest to your departure gate for convenience.

The overall atmosphere is fairly consistent across all three locations. The photo above was taken before the Korean Air merger began. It shows the iconic Asiana wing logo lighting that once greeted passengers at the lounge entrance. That branding has since been removed, which is a noticeable change for longtime Asiana travelers.

This is what the entrance ceiling looks like today: a plain white ceiling where the wing logo once glowed. A faint outline of the original logo is still visible, serving as a quiet reminder of what once was.

food section at Asiana lounge Incheon Airport

To be candid, the quality of the Asiana lounge has been declining for some time. As a result, I rarely visit unless my schedule doesn’t leave me any other option. The photos here are not recent, but they give a reasonable sense of how the food section is currently laid out.

Recent guest reviews suggest the sandwiches are often stocked in small quantities, and the bread tends to dry out quickly, to the point where some visitors feel they’d be better removed from the menu altogether.

beverage station at Asiana business lounge Incheon

Adjacent to the food section is a beverage area with water, coffee, milk, and soft drinks. Next to the coffee machine, you’ll also find an instant noodle station stocked with various cup ramyeon options.

One detail I’ve always appreciated: water is provided in small individual plastic bottles, unlike most airport lounges which use dispensers. The soft drink machine allows you to pour as much as you like, though on my last visit before Asiana’s Terminal 2 relocation in early January 2026, the syrup and carbonation weren’t being properly maintained, resulting in flat, flavourless drinks.

self-service bar at Asiana lounge Incheon Airport

Near the entrance, there is a self-service bar where guests can pour their own drinks freely. A notice states that the bar is not available to guests under the age of 19. There is no dedicated bar staff on duty.

The bar itself is spacious, though it feels somewhat underutilised relative to its size.

whisky, vodka and wine selection at airport lounge bar

The selection includes whisky, spirits, vodka, white wine, red wine, and a beer machine. Ice and lemon are also available. The beer dispenser works by placing a glass on the platform and the beer fills automatically from the bottom up.

Along the wall, you’ll find a coffee machine, hot water dispenser, instant coffee sachets, tea options, and a small selection of candies. Water is available in 2-litre bottles for self-service. The boxy appliance next to the water, which looks somewhat like a toaster, is in fact the beer dispenser mentioned above.

beer glass at Incheon airport lounge

A beer photo did turn up in my archive. The glass is notably large, perhaps more than expected. I honestly can’t remember which flight this was from, as the photos here were taken across multiple visits.

white wine at Asiana business lounge Incheon

Personally, I tend to have a glass of white wine at the lounge, sometimes with a splash of soda for a slightly sweeter finish. As mentioned, the photos span different visits, so please treat them as a general reference rather than a current snapshot.

shower room at Asiana lounge Incheon Airport Terminal 1

Shower facilities are available and can be accessed by requesting at the front desk. This photo was taken somewhat incidentally on a trip to the restroom, but it gives a general sense of the location.

The Asiana Business Lounge has a calm, understated atmosphere, which feels consistent with the Asiana brand overall. That said, foot traffic appears to have increased noticeably in recent years, likely following the introduction of Priority Pass access. Since Asiana’s move to Terminal 2, visitor numbers at this Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge are reported to have dropped considerably, though I have not visited personally since the relocation.

Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge: Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge

The Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge is located between Gates 28 and 29 at Terminal 1, directly next to the Asiana Central Lounge.

Access is available to KrisFlyer Elite Gold members and Star Alliance Gold members. The entrance signage is clearly marked and easy to locate.

The corridor leading to the lounge is immediately recognisable. The SilverKris branding is prominent and unmistakable from the moment you enter.

SilverKris Lounge operating hours board Incheon Airport

The SilverKris Lounge operates on a flight-aligned schedule, opening three times daily. The photo above was taken during one of my visits, and the current hours are as follows:

Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge — Operating Hours (as of 18 March 2026)

  • 06:05 – 12:15
  • 13:55 – 16:35
  • 20:15 – 22:55

As operating hours are aligned with flight schedules, they are subject to change. Please confirm with the Singapore Airlines official website before your visit.

bar and seating area at SilverKris Lounge Incheon

Upon entering, the right side features a bar-style table facing the windows, while the left side houses the food section, drinks bar, and surrounding seating. The lounge is not particularly large, so it may feel crowded during peak hours, though it is far from small.

window bar seating at SilverKris Lounge Incheon Airport

The window-side seating offers a pleasant spot for solo travellers. The glass is frosted at the lower section, but the upper portion allows some natural light. This area tends to attract guests looking for a quiet space to work or watch content on their devices.

hot food station at Singapore Airlines lounge Incheon

The hot food section on the left side of the lounge includes a rice cooker alongside condiments such as seasoned seaweed, sesame oil, and gochujang, making it possible to assemble a simple bibimbap. The menu rotates with each visit; on this occasion, a chicken curry was available, which I paired with rice. While the selection is not extensive, the quality and flavour are consistently good.

A refrigerator next to the rice cooker is stocked with soft drinks, juice, and beer.

hot meal counter at SilverKris Lounge Incheon Airport

This photo was taken from the opposite angle in hopes of capturing the refrigerator. It didn’t quite make it into frame. One small note: the lid holder next to the dishes is a little awkward to use.

laksa and fish sauce at Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge

Safety labels and heat guards are thoughtfully placed throughout the food station, a small but appreciated detail. Fish sauce is available as a condiment, and notably, the lounge prepares laksa fresh to order. This traditional Singaporean dish is genuinely excellent and well worth trying.

cold section with fruit and salad at SilverKris Lounge

Adjacent to the hot food area, you’ll find kimchi, bulgogi, cheese, salad, and fresh fruit. The layout remains fairly consistent across visits. On this occasion, dragon fruit was on offer. Personally, I remember the melon from a previous visit being particularly good.

bakery and refrigerator at SilverKris Lounge Incheon

The refrigerator makes a brief appearance in this photo. It’s stocked with canned drinks, juice, and beer for self-service. A small bakery selection including bread, jam, and butter is also available nearby. The variety is limited, but the overall spread feels well-curated and satisfying.

cereal selection at Singapore Airlines lounge Incheon Airport

A cereal station is also available, offering six varieties, a solid selection for those who prefer a lighter start before a flight.

interior seating and runway view at SilverKris Lounge Incheon

Moving further inside, additional seating is available with a runway-facing bar table on the right. On the left, a partitioned area offers semi-private single seating, ideal for solo travellers seeking a quieter space. This is personally my preferred spot when visiting alone.

chicken curry meal with Tiger beer at SilverKris Lounge

As mentioned earlier, I had the chicken curry that day, closer in style to Korean dakbokkeumtang than a traditional curry, but with a clear curry base. Paired with a Tiger Beer, it made for a satisfying meal. Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to locate the laksa photo for this post.

Beyond the food, this Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge also offers restrooms, shower rooms, and a clothing steamer, located between the hot food section and the runway-facing seating. To use the shower or steamer, simply request assistance at the front desk. The steamer in particular is a rare amenity. I hadn’t encountered one in a lounge before.

Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge: Access Requirements & Locations

Having visited both lounges, I would recommend the Singapore Airlines SilverKris Lounge, provided the operating hours align with your flight. When the schedule doesn’t work out, the Asiana Business Lounge remains a solid fallback.

Prior to the completion of the Korean Air and Asiana Airlines merger, the Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge exists across both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Once the merger is finalised, the Terminal 1 Asiana lounge is expected to be replaced by a new dedicated Star Alliance facility, based on reports I came across. While it’s a little bittersweet to see the Asiana lounge era come to an end, I’m curious to see how the Incheon Airport Star Alliance Lounge experience evolves from here.

I hope this review has been helpful. Safe travels, and see you in the next post!
